Baseball Recap: Buhach Colony Triumphs

Buhach Colony won the last time they faced Merced and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Thunder walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

Jacob Medina made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Buhach Colony is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-15 otherwise. Medina was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Newkirk, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Buhach Colony's record now sits at 10-17. As for Merced, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.
