Recap: Erie Red Devils vs. Uniontown Eagles

The Erie Red Devils lost to the Uniontown Eagles last Thursday, but the Erie Red Devils didn't allow the Uniontown Eagles the same satisfaction on Friday. Erie managed a 32-26 victory over Uniontown. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Erie.

Erie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexandra Pasquarelli out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Pasquarelli has scored at least 25% of Erie's points. Another player making a difference was Kaeleigh Daniels, who scored six points.

Erie's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Uniontown, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cherryvale at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Cherryvale is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Uniontown, they will head out on the road to face off against Yates Center on Tuesday. Yates Center comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
