Martin took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Allegan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Clippers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Tigers on Thursday. While the Clippers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Martin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Allegan, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

Martin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
