Volleyball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Comes Up Short

Stanhope Elmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

While Stanhope Elmore had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Stanhope Elmore's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season.

Stanhope Elmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Montgomery Academy on the 25th. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Benjamin Russell on the 20th.
