Football Game Preview: Collins-Maxwell vs. North Tama Redhawks

Collins-Maxwell will take on the North Tama Redhawks on Friday. Collins-Maxwell has given up an average of 33.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Collins-Maxwell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Gladbrook-Reinbeck, who was ranked fourth at the time (Collins-Maxwell was ranked 24th). Collins-Maxwell was dealt a 54-13 defeat at the hands of Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Friday. Collins-Maxwell was red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five games prior), but Gladbrook-Reinbeck's defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Tama). They blew past GMG, posting a 74-22 victory. The win continues a trend for the Redhawks in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won five in a row.

Collins-Maxwell's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for North Tama, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
