Basketball Recap: Space Coast Comes Up Short

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Cocoa Beach Minutemen, falling 56-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-22 two weeks ago.

Space Coast's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cocoa Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Space Coast and East Ridge will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. One thing working in East Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups. As for Cocoa Beach, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Merritt Island at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
