After losing to Fletcher the last time they met, Fleming Island decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Senators on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

The victory didn't come easy: Fletcher scored at least 22 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Lauren Brosky paced Fleming Island's offense, picking up 14 kills. Brosky got some help from Hazel Williams and her 26 assists. Brosky was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Fletcher still got an impressive performance from Brikelle Phillips, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Fleming Island has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Fletcher, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Fleming Island will challenge Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fletcher, they will take on Bartram Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
