Football Recap: Taft Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taft can now relate to. They took a blow against the West Vikings on Friday, falling 47-20. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

When it comes to explaining why Taft lost, don't look at Joe Weber. Despite the final result, he rushed for 94 yards and one score on only 12 carries, and also caught one touchdown. Weber's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Solomon Harris, who rushed for 167 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Harris is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 111 every time he's taken the field this season. West's leading receiver Jamarr Price was Harris' top target yet again, picking up 127 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 43 yards and one TD.

Taft's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Taft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West, they have already played their next game, a 43-22 loss against Chowchilla on the 14th.
