It's playoff time, and Academy at the Lakes had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Community Christian Chargers on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Cooper Alvero and Carson Ashton scored both of Academy at the Lakes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Academy at the Lakes pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Community Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Academy at the Lakes will head out on the road to square off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Academy at the Lakes surely won't give up without a fight. Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
