Amanda-Clearcreek and Bloom-Carroll pushed the score to 11-9 the last time they played Bloom-Carroll, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Aces' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Aces sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Amanda-Clearcreek's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for Bloom-Carroll, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Coming up, Amanda-Clearcreek will venture away from home to challenge Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Aces' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairfield Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on the 13th.
