Basketball Game Preview: St. Laurence Vikings vs. Fenwick Friars

St. Laurence hasn't had much luck against Fenwick recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Friars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in St. Laurence's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

St. Laurence had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Providence-St. Mel on Tuesday. The Vikings claimed a resounding 79-45 win over the Knights. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Fenwick was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 58-57 to St. Rita.

Fenwick now has a losing record of 3-4. As for St. Laurence, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

St. Laurence was able to grind out a solid victory over Fenwick when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 60-48. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Friars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
