Baseball Preview: Seneca East Tigers vs. Columbian Tornadoes

The Seneca East Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Columbian Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, it was a hard-fought game, but Seneca East had to settle for a 7-6 loss against Mohawk.

Caden Fritz put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Fritz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Fritz wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blake Bumb, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Columbian entered their tilt with Clyde with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Fliers onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Friday.

Seneca East now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Columbian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
