Soccer Game Preview: South Caldwell vs. St. Stephens

The South Caldwell Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the St. Stephens Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Caldwell's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, South Caldwell didn't have quite enough to beat Freedom and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, St. Stephens didn't have quite enough to beat McDowell on Monday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that St. Stephens have lost by just one goal.

St. Stephens' loss dropped their record down to 1-16-1. As for South Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-4.

Everything went South Caldwell's way against St. Stephens in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as South Caldwell made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
