Football Recap: West Orange's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

West Orange won the last time they faced Edgewater and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 26-7. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Eagles are ranked 327th).

West Orange has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average over those games. As for Edgewater, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Orange will head out to take on Celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgewater, they will take on Ocoee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
