Football Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Peoria Raiders. The Little Giants were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Peoria, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Canton and East Peoria could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Little Giants (ranked 401st) will meet Metamora (ranked 125th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Peoria will take on Dunlap at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (346 vs. 119).
