Fowler has won 16 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Rocky Ford has won 16 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Grizzlies will welcome the Meloneers at 10:00 a.m. Fowler knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Rocky Ford likes a good challenge.
Rocky Ford's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Fowler hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Grizzlies didn't even let Hoehne on the board on Friday, marking the Grizzlies' second-straight 17-0 shutout. Considering the Grizzlies have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Weston Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Bryce Froman was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Montoya, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Fowler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in six consecutive matches.
Crowley County hit Rocky Ford with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Meloneers lost 13-3 to the Chargers. The defeat continues a trend for the Meloneers in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Fowler's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Rocky Ford, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Everything went Fowler's way against Rocky Ford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Fowler made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Meloneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
