Baseball Recap: Milan Comes Up Short

Milan managed to slip by Riverview the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Big Reds came up short against the Pirates on Wednesday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Big Reds have suffered against the Pirates since May 2, 2022.

Milan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Riverview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will square off against Belleville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverview, they will take on Chelsea at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
