Softball Recap: Elizabeth Seton Has No Trouble Against the Academy of the Holy Cross

Elizabeth Seton got themselves on the board against The Academy of the Holy Cross on Friday, but The Academy of the Holy Cross never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Tartans. The victory continues a trend for Elizabeth Seton in their matchups with The Academy of the Holy Cross: they've now won nine in a row.

Kimmya Sims was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Keagan Cooper was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Zoe Johnson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Elizabeth Seton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Elizabeth Seton back to even at 6-6. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
