Soccer Game Preview: Dexter vs. Greenville

Dexter hasn't had much luck against Greenville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. Dexter has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dexter fell victim to Piscataquis and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenville). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Vinalhaven on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Greenville's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Dexter now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Greenville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Dexter beat Greenville 4-2 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
