Soccer Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Batesburg-Leesville and Saluda have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Batesburg-Leesville were already down 6-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Avelardo Cabrera, who's now up to two this season.

Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Saluda, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Batesburg-Leesville will face off against Strom Thurmond at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
