Recap: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Murray Spartans
The Hillcrest Huskies lost against the Murray Spartans back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hillcrest fell to Murray 52-46.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Miller, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhett Robinson, who scored 12 points.
Murray's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deacon Poole led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six assists and two steals. Poole hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Quinton Christman, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Hillcrest now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Murray, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Hillcrest will head out on the road to take on Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Stansbury's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Murray, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55 points per game.
