Basketball Recap: Deer Isle-Stonington Takes a Loss

Deer Isle-Stonington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the George Stevens Academy Eagles, falling 77-21. The Mariners were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Deer Isle-Stonington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for George Stevens Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Deer Isle-Stonington will face off against Shead at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for George Stevens Academy, they will be playing at home against Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
