Volleyball Recap: Northern Hills Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Northern Hills Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to Training Center Christian on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-7, 25-8.

Gabi Wimsatt went supernova For Training Center Christian., getting 18 aces. Those 18 aces gave Wimsatt a new career-high. Jazzy Karuiki was another key player, getting five aces.

The victory got Training Center Christian back to even at 1-1.

Northern Hills Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Scott Christian Heights at 6:30 p.m. on October 2. As for Training Center Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Plaza Heights Christian Academy on the 6th.
