Volleyball Game Preview: Danbury Panthers vs. Deweyville Pirates

The Danbury Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Deweyville Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Danbury is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.

Last Friday, Danbury made easy work of Evadale and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Danbury took every set by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Deweyville lost 3-0 to Evadale on Tuesday.

Deweyville took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-22.

Deweyville's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Danbury, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.

Everything went Danbury's way against Deweyville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Danbury made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
