Basketball Game Preview: Grapevine Mustangs vs. Ranchview Wolves

The Grapevine Mustangs will face off against the Ranchview Wolves at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Grapevine turned things around against Jefferson on Saturday. They blew past Jefferson, posting a 58-25 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ranchview). They blew past Venus 61-35 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Ranchview's win came from a few key players Grapevine will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaishawn Williams, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 13 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raphael Kalala, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points along with five assists and four steals.

Ranchview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
