Softball Game Preview: Hemphill Hornets vs. Timpson Bears

The Hemphill Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Timpson Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hemphill is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Hemphill blew West Hardin out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday West Hardin got their revenge. The Hornets fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 6-4.

Meanwhile, Timpson won against Woden on Thursday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bears walked away with a 5-2 victory over Chireno. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Timpson's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 18-5. As for Hemphill, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16-1.

Hemphill came out on top in a nail-biter against Timpson when the teams last played back in March of 2022, sneaking past 10-9. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
