John Glenn gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 47-43 W over the Hiland Hawks.

Stehl Bates had an outrageously good game as he went 5-for-9 en route to 19 points along with five assists and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was CJ Dolan, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Looking ahead, John Glenn will challenge Maysville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hiland, they will take on St. Ignatius at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
