Basketball Recap: Santee Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Santee had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the West Adams Panthers by a score of 74-63 on Wednesday. The Falcons pushed the score to 60-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Santee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Aldridge JR led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Aldridge JR a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Vera, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals.

Santee was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Santee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for West Adams, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Santee will face off against Manual Arts at 4:30 p.m. on January 22nd. As for West Adams, they will welcome Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
