Softball Recap: Framingham Comes Up Short

If Framingham was feeling good fresh off their 23-2 takedown of Brookline last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flyers fell just short of the Milford Scarlet Hawks by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Flyers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scarlet Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Riley Kiklis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Kiklis is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Talia Murga, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Framingham's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Milford, their record now sits at 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Framingham will take on Billerica Memorial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Milford, they will square off against Hopkinton at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
