Baseball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Beaufort Eagles, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss last Wednesday.

Hilton Head Island saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Slater Alsobrook, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Beaufort, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hilton Head Island is set to square off against their familiar foe Colleton County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beaufort will take on rival Bishop England at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
