Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Greene Central walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Princeton Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout on Monday. Considering Greene Central have won 13 contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Josh Osorio and Angel Contreras scored all three of Greene Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Greene Central pushed their record up to 16-4-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those nine matches. As for Princeton, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-8 record.

Looking ahead, Greene Central will face off against Wallace-Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greene Central will need to watch out since Wallace-Rose Hill have now posted at least four goals in their last four matchups. Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
