Basketball Recap: Longwood Comes Up Short

Longwood and Lisle squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Longwood had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 62-35 loss at the hands of the Lisle Lions. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Lisle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ally Russell, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. Russell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaya Claussen, who earned nine points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Longwood's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Lisle, their victory bumped their record up to 13-19.

As of now, neither Longwood nor Lisle have any future games scheduled.
