Baseball Recap: Dr. Maya Angelou Community Takes a Loss

Dr. Maya Angelou Community couldn't beat West Adams on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the seventh inning. The Phoenix fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 10-9. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Dr. Maya Angelou Community now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for West Adams, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will square off against Santee at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Adams, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Diego Rivera at 3:00 p.m. on May 5.
