Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

Pleasant Grove lost against Lehi back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pleasant Grove Vikings came up short against the Lehi Pioneers, falling 73-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since January 3rd.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Hudson Guthrie, who posted six points. Guthrie is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played.

Lehi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Easton Hawkins, who had 22 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashton Shewell, who scored 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Pleasant Grove and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for Lehi, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Pleasant Grove has already played their next matchup, a 70-63 loss against Bingham on the 21st. As for Lehi, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-48 win against Weber on the 21st.
