Volleyball Recap: Dewitt Wins Going Away Against Waverly

DeWitt won the last time they faced Waverly and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers blew past the Warriors 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

DeWitt never let Waverly on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-19.

Payton Terwilliger had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and four aces. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high. Rowynn Moore also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: DeWitt was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

DeWitt now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Waverly, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-12-2 record this season.

DeWitt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against East Lansing on the 18th. As for Waverly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Grand Ledge on the 18th.
