Recap: Wabash Apaches vs. Lewis Cass Kings
The Wabash Apaches's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Lewis Cass at home by a decisive 44-29 margin. While losing is never fun, Wabash can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Lewis Cass is ranked 69th).
Despite the loss, Wabash still got an impressive performance from Kierra Wilson, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Wabash bumped their record down to 9-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Lewis Cass, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Wabash will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Lewis Cass' road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Southwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday.
