Volleyball Recap: Chavez Titans vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taft, Chavez was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Kennedy Thunderbirds out 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Karen Buenrrostro had a dynamite game for Chavez, getting 31 digs and four aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Chavez was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matches.
Chavez's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.
As of now, neither Chavez nor Kennedy have any future games scheduled.
