Softball Game Preview: Augusta Panthers vs. Robertson County Black Devils

The Augusta Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Robertson County Black Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Augusta has given up an average of 20.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Augusta duked it out with Calvary Christian on Saturday. The Panthers lost 21-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Robertson County brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on Calvary Christian with a sharp 18-8 victory on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Black Devils as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Robertson County, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-10.

Augusta might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Robertson County in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
