Soccer Recap: Foundation Academy Victorious

Foundation Academy hadn't done well against The First Academy recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Foundation Academy Lions came out on top against The First Academy Royals by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Lions , who suffered a 9-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Gianna Bryan and Victoria Farias scored all three of Foundation Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Foundation Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 8-2-1 record this season. As for The First Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-3 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Foundation Academy and Cornerstone Charter Academy will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Foundation Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.1 goals per game this season. As for The First Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Highland Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
