Manning won the last time they faced Scott's Branch and things went their way on Thursday too. The Monarchs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Monarchs.

Manning had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 8-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-16.

Manning's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Scott's Branch, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Manning will head out on the road to challenge Lake Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scott's Branch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baptist Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
