Softball Game Preview: Garrett Railroaders vs. Eastside Blazers

The Garrett Railroaders will face off against the Eastside Blazers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Garrett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Garrett after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-2 to Central Noble.

Meanwhile, Eastside entered their tilt with Fairfield on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Falcons 10-1. Considering the Blazers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Eastside's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Garrett, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
