Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Heritage Academy Patriots, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Columbus took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-16.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Heritage Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-17 record this season.

Columbus has already played their next match (against West Lowndes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Heritage Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lamar on the 28th.
