Recap: Crestview Knights vs. Leipsic Vikings
After flying high against the Spencerville Bearcats last Friday, The Crestview Knights came back down to earth. Crestview's rough 49-28 loss to Leipsic on Friday might stick with them for a while. It was the first time this season that Crestview let down their fans at home.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braxton Leeth, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Zayden Martin, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Crestview has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Leipsic, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestview will face off against Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leipsic, they will head out on the road to face off against Pandora-Gilboa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pandora-Gilboa is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
