Basketball Recap: Coalgate Takes a Loss

Coalgate was the 35-18 winner over Calera when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 40-37 on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coalgate's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Calera, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coalgate won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Colbert at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calera, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Vanoss at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
