Baseball Recap: Berne-Knox-Westerlo Comes Up Short

Berne-Knox-Westerlo fell victim to Fonda-Fultonville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-0 to the Valley Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Valley Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben West, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Fonda-Fultonville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will host Waterford-Halfmoon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Fordians at the right time seeing as the Fordians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Johnstown at 12:00 p.m.
