Softball Recap: Seneca Victorious

Seneca owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They skirted past the Cochranton Cardinals 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since May 7, 2025.

The result came thanks to Sophia Primavere's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Seneca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Hammill, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

The win got Seneca back to even at 2-2. As for Cochranton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Seneca will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cochranton, they will head out on the road to challenge Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
