Thornwell extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Reece Cummings. The Saints put the hurt on the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Cummings, who had 16 kills and ten aces. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more kills the last three times she's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.
Thornwell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madilynn Porter out in front who had five digs and four aces. Chloe Wilson was another key player, getting nine assists and four aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Thornwell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive contests.
