Basketball Recap: Harrisonburg Comes Up Short

Harrisonburg lost against William Monroe back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harrisonburg Blue Streaks fell 66-56 to the William Monroe Dragons. The Blue Streaks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Harrisonburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for William Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Harrisonburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Staunton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Staunton will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Harrisonburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for William Monroe, they will face off against Rockbridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. William Monroe is facing Rockbridge County at the right time seeing as Rockbridge County is stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
