Basketball Recap: Parkland Mustangs vs. East Forsyth Eagles

The Parkland Mustangs lost against the East Forsyth Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Parkland received a tough blow as they fell 71-54 to the Eagles. Parkland has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Parkland had strong showings from Joshua Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, and Christian Williams, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Moore hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was SaMaurie Moses, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for East Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 10-10 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkland will challenge the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reagan and the Mustangs are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for East Forsyth, they will head out on the road to face off against the Demons at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully R.J. Reynolds focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
