After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Creek, Slinger was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Oshkosh West Wildcats 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Slinger has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Oshkosh West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Slinger will take on Catholic Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oshkosh West, they will be playing at home against Kimberly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
